WHAT TO EXPECT

WHAT THIS IS NOT

It is not something you have ever experienced.

It is not something you can comprehend without experiencing it.

This is not a “massage” or “bodywork”. But I do use touch.

This is not a “sound healing”. But I do use sound.

This is not a “breathwork workshop”. But I do use your breath.

This is not “Psychotherapy”. But we will talk.

This isn’t “meditation”. But you will be completely present.

WHAT THIS IS

It is a somatic journey akin to a plant medicine journey, without the plant medicine.

This is where I combine and leverage all your systems, senses and biology simultaneously in order to restore coherence.

This is what makes all the things you’ve done or are doing work and work better.


NON-NEGOTIABLES

You must have a whole day completely blocked off.

No phones.
No pets.
No partners.
No kids.
No family members.
No work.
No obligations.
No distractions.

No interruptions.

It is also important that you do not have anything to do or attend to after the journey. This is not the type of experience where you will want to jump right up and get back to checking things off of your to-do list afterwards. Even if you feel like you can, I ask that you please refrain from attempting to re-engage. Instead, I ask that you take a long hot bath or shower as soon as possible after the session and let yourself just be.


THE PROCESS

My work uses medium to deep pressure to take you to your threshold and sometimes past it. This occurs in a controlled and gradual way with the utmost attention and care. To be clear, the process is physically and emotionally intense. If you do not like deep work or are not willing to go deep, this experience is not a good fit for you.

Every session begins with a conversation about you as well as the the critical parts of the process:


Where you are at physically psychologically and emotionally.


What direction you want to go in.


What you hope to gain from this experience.


An explanation of what I will be doing and why.

This conversation typically ranges from 30 minutes up to 10 hours depending on how deep it goes. As with every step of my work, more time is always allowed if necessary. Following our conversation, the bodywork itself can last anywhere from 4 to 10 hours depending on what your needs are and how much your mind and body can take. Allowing enough time for both parts of the process is the reason I require a minimum commitment of 12 hours for the session.

In order for you to get the most out of this experience I ask that you make sure to schedule on a day where everything is taken care of so that you can completely let go and focus on yourself. Selecting the right day for this within your existing schedule is extremely important. I ask that you are personally in a place where you have the energy and desire to go deep in order to maximize the benefits of this experience for you.

LOGISTICS

All appointments start at 11:00am and can go as late as 11:00pm depending on the individual. Everyone is different and in some cases sessions may go even later.

Typically, I travel to clients so that they are in a comfortable environment where they can relax afterwords without having to worry about driving since people tend to be pretty out of it afterwards.

It is imperative to have a space physically large enough for the session (minimum 8’ x 12’) that is able to be kept between 80-85 degrees Fahrenheit. If you live in a warm climate this will likely not be an issue. For those in a cold climate a central heating system or portable space heaters will suffice. If your accommodations do not meet these requirement or if you do not have access to another space, we can work together to find a solution.
